Stop motion animation
Inspiration
I got the inspiration for my stop motion animation from a music video for Sum 41's 'Hell Song". I liked this music video as it was humorous and looked fun and easy to create. It featured lots of random action figures and household objects which were used to comedic effect with eccentric movements and actions. However, their music video was made using puppets on strings where as mine will be made using stop-motion animation to make it look more professional. Like their music video, I will base mine around a band of random action figures who are performing in front of a crowd full of crazy fans.

Frame Rates
I will be creating my animation using 12 frames per second as it will look professional and relatively smooth without being too time consuming. I also didn't want to create my animation with more than 12 frames per second because I want it to have a slightly bumpy and shaky effect which will work well with the humorous actions of the action figures dancing and the tempo of the song that I will be using. I also think that this is an appropriate number of frames per second as many beginners in animation recommend 12fps as you aren't going to have to spend too long making it and it will still look good.
Potential problems and limitations
I could encounter some setbacks with my use of materials as I will be using action figures. I could potentially have problems with using them in my animations they can be difficult to stand up on their own and may fall over while I move them ready to picture the next frame. However, I could overcome this problem if I encounter it by using blu-tac to stick their feet to the ground. I may also encounter a problem with the time it will take me to produce my animation as it is over a minute long and 12 frames per second. This means I will have to produce a total of 720 frames which could be very time consuming.
